We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have a degree in Construction Management or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation within construction or industrial projects.
  • They should have a proven track record of working on projects ranging from $1M to $50M and be proficient in estimating software and standard office tools.
  • A strong ability to analyze and interpret project documents, identify critical details, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders is essential.
  • Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates by evaluating labor, materials, and equipment requirements.
  • Interpret project documents, such as plans and specifications, to identify key scope details.
  • Research and assess quotes from subcontractors and suppliers for inclusion in estimates.
  • Utilize historical data and cost models to enhance accuracy and align with project needs.
  • Format estimates to meet client requirements and maintain compliance with best practices.
  • Conduct site visits when needed to understand project conditions and requirements.
  • Collaborate with design and project management teams to ensure estimates reflect project details accurately.
  • Participate in planning sessions, providing cost insights and contributing to strategic decisions.
  • Prepare preliminary schedules and work plans as part of project proposals.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, vendors, and team members throughout the estimating process.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably within construction or industrial projects.
  • Proven track record with projects of varying sizes and scopes, ideally ranging from $1M to $50M.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
