Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Planning and Projects, Facilities and Real Estate to lead the planning, design, and implementation of facilities strategies and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of facilities planning and project initiatives, coordinating and resolving conflicts and overlaps between projects and other initiatives.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and leadership to designated staff, using effective management techniques such as coaching, mentoring, skill development, and performance management.
  • Develop annual operating budgets for the department, monitor expenditures, and perform variance analysis and reporting.
  • Serve as a member of the Planning & Projects leadership team, participating in the development and approval of annual goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Interior Design, or a related discipline.
  • Professional designation, supplemented with seven (7) to ten (10) years' recent, related experience in progressively more complex leadership roles in a large multi-site organization managing the planning, design, and construction of facilities projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of facilities project delivery processes, including planning, design, construction, and procurement within current standards, codes, bylaws, and regulations.
