Home Support Assistant

Job Summary:
The In-Home Support Worker plays a vital role in supporting clients living in Long-term Care and in the community. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing meal assistance and support with daily living activities
- Assisting clients to/from/during scheduled activities and events
- Offering one-on-one support and companionship
- Responding to client requests and needs in a timely and professional manner
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients
- Facilitating leisure activities and engaging in indoor and outdoor games
- Performing other duties as required, including assisting with personal care
Qualifications:
- Minimum eighteen (18) years of age with relevant education and experience
- Outgoing and engaging personality with excellent communication skills
- Food safety training required (training will be provided if necessary)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to clients' locations
- Current clean criminal record and vulnerable sector checks
- Experience or training in this field would be an asset
What We Offer:
Port City Home Services offers a competitive hourly rate of $15.75 and a rotation schedule that includes day shifts and every other weekend.
