We are seeking a highly skilled Application Production Support Engineer with experience in .NET and SQL Server to join our team at Capgemini.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, an aptitude for problem-solving, and a commitment to ensuring seamless application functionality in a dynamic environment. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining mission-critical applications, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Support & Troubleshooting: Provide Level 2/3 support for .NET and SQL Server-based applications, ensuring timely resolution of issues to minimize system downtime. Investigate and troubleshoot incidents, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor application performance and system health using available tools, creating alerts to proactively detect and address issues. Conduct regular application and database health checks, ensuring data integrity and optimal system performance.
  • Incident & Problem Management: Record, track, and document incident resolutions in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Analyze incident trends and recommend proactive measures to prevent recurring issues.
  • Database Management: Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to enhance database performance and application efficiency. Perform routine database backups, recovery, and maintenance activities, ensuring data security and integrity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in application production support, with a focus on .NET applications and SQL Server.
  • Strong hands-on experience with .NET frameworks (C#, ASP.NET, MVC) and SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers).

Your salary will be around $85,000 per year, depending on your location and experience.
