About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Professional to join our team as a Control Systems Specialist. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality custom control panel solutions for wastewater treatment and other sectors.

In this position, you will work under the guidance of experienced I&C Supervisors and senior designers, collaborating on projects that drive innovation and excellence.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing control systems that meet or exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the I&C Supervisor and senior designers to develop project designs and strategies.
  • Review project materials, including proposals, specifications, and emails, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Discuss project design approaches with the I&C Supervisor, project manager, and senior designers.
  • Attend product meetings with suppliers to discuss requirements and specifications.
  • Research electrical codes and product application details as needed.
  • Interpret and create drawings, technical manuals, specifications, and regulations as required.
  • Create and modify P&IDs, electrical schematics, panel layouts, and instrument location drawings as needed.
  • Create and modify single-line diagrams, loop drawings, communication drawings, and control room layouts as needed.
  • Create and modify instrumentation lists, IO lists, cable lists, and IP address lists as needed.
  • Create and modify Bill of Materials (BOM) as required.
  • Release project packages to production for manufacturing.
  • Maintain a daily log of job-related activities using an approved time sheet format.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering or a related electrical discipline.
  • Strong familiarity with NEC, UL508A, CEC, and CSA 22.2.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical and EPlan Electric P8.
  • Strong customer service focus and sense of urgency.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a salary range of $90,000 to $120,000, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and vacation time.
