Renard International Hospitality Search Consultants is proud to present an esteemed position for a skilled and charismatic Head Chef to lead the kitchen brigade of a renowned Fine Dining Restaurant in the Cayman Islands.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, be a high-energy and creative Professional Chef with a solid background in Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, and have a passion for quality and guest excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional culinary experiences to local and international guests

• Prepare menu items, including desserts, that showcase creativity and flair

• Expedite, execute, and assist on the line during service to ensure seamless operations

• Maintain strict sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen

• Develop and implement ongoing training programs for the kitchen brigade to enhance skills and knowledge

• Manage inventory effectively, focusing on budgeting, cost analysis, and planning to optimize resources

• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages growth and diversity

Mandatory Requirements:

• Stay up-to-date with current trends in seafood and international cuisine

• Possess hands-on experience in trend-setting restaurants in major cities

• Hold a post-secondary degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years as a Head Chef in a quality restaurant

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of menu planning, cost analysis, portioning, and plate presentation

• Have expertise in inventory control measures and the ability to develop and execute them

• Showcase strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a small team

• Be proficient in computer software, including menu costing and recipe conversion

This prestigious position offers a competitive salary of USD $62,500 per annum, net tax-free, annual vacation, and benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own accommodation on the island.
