Job Description

This role is based at the Ottawa Air Navigation Service (ANS) and involves coordinating all release and restoration activities nationwide, including network maintenance and operational systems for all Flight Information Regions (FIRs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate national scope release and restoration activities for network maintenance and operational systems.
  • Arrange initiation and revision of advisory actions and ensure follow-up.
  • Evaluate impact of problems and establish consultation with operations to determine operational impact.
  • Initiate corrective actions and establish restoration priorities.
  • Monitor Network performance actively and proactively, analyzing performance indicators and preparing trend reports.
  • Participate in audits, site inspections, and assist with evaluations.
  • Conduct Fire Warden duties and Building Evacuation coordination in emergency situations.
  • Provide first aid services to employees within their work location.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on procedures, investigations, and information gathering.
  • Perform initial triage on cyber security events.
Requirements:
  • A Secondary school diploma and completion of an acceptable training program in electronics technology or an approved alternative.
  • Experience in IP-based networking and networks monitoring.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of computer systems and networking.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance schedules and priorities.
  • Thorough knowledge of ANS systems and equipment with respect to function, user requirements, safety and security standards, loss of redundancy, and operational impact caused through loss of service.
Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is between $80,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
