Pediatric Gastroenterologist with Research Focus

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our team as a full-time permanent staff physician at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will have or be eligible for a full-time academic appointment at the University of Toronto at the rank of either Assistant or Associate Professor.
Division Overview
The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is a dynamic and collegial group of 17 faculty members who provide tertiary/quaternary-care clinical programs and maintain a high volume, high impact research output in one of the leading GI divisions in North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional clinical care to pediatric patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical programs and services within the division
- Mentor and supervise trainees and junior faculty members
- Participate in research activities, including designing and implementing studies, analyzing data, and publishing results
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
Requirements
- Degree of MD, MBBS, or equivalent, certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or comparable qualifications
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Excellent clinical skills, with experience in pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology
- Strong research background, with a demonstrated ability to design and implement studies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation Package
The compensation package includes an estimated annual salary of $250,000, comprehensive benefits, and a relocation allowance.
