Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team at SADA CULTURAL DAYCARE AND AFTERSCHOOL INC. This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet the needs of our clients.
- Keep accurate records of food quantities used and maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment.
- Stock refrigerators, salad bars, and other storage areas with supplies and ingredients.
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for meal preparation.
- We offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
- The primary language of work is English.
