Job Title: Executive Kitchen Manager

We are seeking an experienced Executive Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team at Minami Restaurant Toronto. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a safe working environment.

About the Role:
  • This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in restaurant management and culinary arts.
  • You will be responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 staff members, including cooks, dishwashers, and other kitchen personnel.
  • Key responsibilities include preparing and submitting reports, maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and preparing food order summaries for the chef.
  • You will also be responsible for ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints, and preparing budgets and cost estimates.
Requirements:
  • A Safe Food Handling certificate is mandatory for this role.
  • Experience with Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques is highly desirable.
  • You must have excellent oral communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and have attention to detail.
  • Flexible scheduling and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
