Water Damage Restoration Specialist

ServiceMaster Restore is seeking a skilled Water Damage Restoration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our restoration team, you will be responsible for providing prompt, professional service to our clients who have experienced property loss due to water damage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide up-to-date communication and photos to the Project Manager regarding the status of work
  • Determine the category of water loss and extract water using truck mount and portable pumps
  • Assist in determining non-restorable building components and assist with demolition of non-restorable material
  • Set up drying equipment as per established procedures and monitor the drying process, adjusting equipment as required
  • Work within an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision and empathize with clients/customers who have experienced loss of personal property
Requirements:
  • Water Restoration Technician Certification (considered an asset)
  • Clean Criminal Record Check
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract
  • Experience driving/parking a panel van and cube truck
  • Ability to lift industrial fans 30-40 lbs and load/unload wheeled industrial dehumidifiers
  • Knowledge of construction and basic building materials and safely use power tools and hand tools
  • Experience in custodial work, pressure washing, and carpet cleaning (considered an asset)
