Job Summary

Royal Bank of Canada is a leading financial institution committed to delivering innovative solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a Strategic Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Global Functions Technology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end cloud solution architectures, ensuring alignment with business requirements, RBC strategy, and technology standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to certify the architecture and drive technical excellence.
  • Develop and present comprehensive roadmaps aligned to various strategic pillars, identifying key opportunities and risks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, including AI/ML, GenAI, and Cloud platforms.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in application or solution architecture on large projects with multiple integration points.
  2. An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  3. Proven experience with Cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  4. Strong understanding of software and data design patterns, as well as experience applying AI/ML concepts and techniques.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to work independently and ask the right questions.
  6. Experience preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs) and leading them.
