We are seeking a highly skilled Shop Foreman to lead our Service Department in Steinbach. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, ensuring efficient workflow, and providing technical expertise to service writers.

As a Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for:

  • Directing daily shop functions to maximize throughput while emphasizing work quality and employee safety
  • Assigning work to match technician capability with complexity of the work order
  • Understanding all Service Department policies and procedures for proper and consistent Dealership operations
  • Actively supporting health and safety regulations and internal company safety policies
  • Mentoring new technicians and assisting in their development
  • Providing technical expertise to service writers to support quotes and customer enquiries
  • Assisting Service Manager with the employee review and development process
  • Working pro-actively with Parts and Sales departments

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with technical manuals and research
  • Well-developed problem solving, analysis and option generating skills
  • Process management skills
  • Highly organized, excellent time management and follow up
  • Coaching, mentoring skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service skills

Required Experience:

  • High school completion or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 2-5 years in a busy Service Department
  • Supervisory experience is an asset
  • Ag background
  • Journeyman technician certification is an asset
  • Driver's license and clear abstract
