About the Role

VAS Masonry Ltd is seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for laying bricks, stone, and other masonry units to build residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and structural tiles to provide a strong foundation for buildings.
  • Lay bricks and stone to create a durable and attractive exterior finish.
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units to meet project requirements.
  • Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and sketches to calculate materials needed for each project.
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Lay bricks and other masonry units to build chimneys and fireplaces.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires a high level of physical fitness, as you will be working on construction sites for extended periods. You will be required to lift heavy loads, stand for long periods, and perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in masonry or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
