About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Edmonton. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in structural engineering and project management to work on complex projects from conceptual design to final completion.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Executing structural projects as Engineer of Record, including performing site assessments, preparing evaluation reports, and reviewing work in the field;
  • Designing and detailing structural elements, including designing and calculations, computer modeling, and analysis;
  • Assembling and coordinating engineering drawings and contract documents with our BIM technologists and other members of the engineering team;
  • Conducting field reviews and contract administrative duties;
  • Drafting project-related correspondence as needed;
  • Participating in client meetings to facilitate solutions to design issues and challenges and provide status updates;
  • Reviewing architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the AEC industry;
  • P.Eng. registration in Alberta;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • A strong background in existing buildings, including current and leading-edge knowledge of materials and processes;
  • Experience with structural restoration projects is considered an asset;
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget;
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle throughout employment.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible working hours, employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums, generous parental leave policy, RRSP matching up to 5%, and participation in our discretionary profit-sharing plan.
