Electrical Designer - Senior

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Designer - Senior to join our Minerals, Metals and Life Sciences group. This senior position requires applicants with 10+ years of experience in electrical design for mining, metallurgical, or similar process industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for mining and metallurgical projects
  • Apply knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and design electrical systems accordingly
  • Use AutoCAD and 3D design/drafting software, preferably AutoCAD 3D and AVEVA E3D
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements
  • Develop and maintain databases, preferably AVEVA AE
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an Electrical Engineering Technology program or related Design/Drafting program
  • Registered as an Applied Science Technologist (Technology Professionals Saskatchewan preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years experience in electrical design for mining, metallurgical, or similar process industries
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with ability to work independently and take responsibility
