About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team at Maple Furniture. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for supporting our skilled tradespersons in various construction tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Load, unload, and transport construction materials with ease, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Material Preparation: Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting, ensuring accurate calculations and efficient processes.
  • Mixing and Pouring: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt with precision, adhering to quality standards.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and pile salvaged materials efficiently, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Maintenance Support: Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and reducing downtime.
  • Machine Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Support for Skilled Trades: Assist skilled tradespersons in their duties, providing valuable support and contributing to project success.
