Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual with extensive experience in hair styling techniques, including blow drying, braiding, iron waving/curling, permanents, extensions, twisting, locking, relaxing, spiking, pin curls, and roller setting. The ideal candidate will also possess expertise in hair coloring techniques such as bleach, dyes/tints, frosting, and streaking/highlights.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on beauty care treatments, recommending the best hairstyles and colors based on their physical features and preferences.
  • Analyze hair and scalp condition to determine the most suitable treatment plan.
  • Book appointments and manage client schedules efficiently.
  • Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
  • Provide custom hair and scalp treatment, using a range of products and techniques to achieve the desired results.
  • Shampoo customers' hair, applying conditioning treatments to leave hair feeling soft and manageable.
  • Shave and trim beards and mustaches, creating clean lines and defined shapes.
  • Provide other hair treatment, including waving, straightening, tinting, and scalp conditioning massages.
  • Supervise other hair stylists and other staff, mentoring and guiding them to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Supervise apprentices/students in training, teaching them the art of hairstyling and barbering.
  • Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair, achieving vibrant, natural-looking colors.
  • Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair, using a variety of techniques to create stunning looks.
  • Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences, offering personalized recommendations.
  • Perform receptionist duties, handling phone calls, managing bookings, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Maintain and order supplies, ensuring a well-stocked salon and efficient workflow.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Familiarity with common software and hardware used in the industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and attention to detail.
