Human Resource and Internal Communications Advisor

The Government of New Brunswick is seeking a highly skilled Human Resource and Internal Communications Advisor to join our team at Kings Landing, a unique living history museum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run the daily functions of the Human Resource department, including coaching, hiring, and interviewing staff, managing and administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
  • Facilitate and improve internal communication across Kings Landing to ensure that employees are familiar with the organization's mission, goals, policies, and expectations.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, employment law, employee retention, morale, recognition, productivity, and incentives.
  • Provide collaborative guidance and advice on integrated communication strategies to build employee morale, productivity, retention, and policy compliance.
  • Implement, conduct, facilitate, and/or analyze results of employee morale and retention initiatives such as incentive programs, stay interviews, career development meetings, employee surveys, and exit interviews.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional-level experience in human resources.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Written and spoken competence in English is required.
  • Knowledge of training, group facilitation, and presentation skills.
