Job Summary
We seek an experienced M&A Business Development Associate to drive business growth through strategic partnerships and M&A activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing relationships with potential acquisition targets, executing go-to-market plans, and identifying new opportunities.

Main Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships with CEO/Founders of potential acquisition targets against defined acquisition criteria
- Execute existing go-to-market plans targeting Communications & Media software businesses to build and grow a pipeline of M&A opportunities
- Identify, contact, and develop relationships with owners of vertical market software companies
- Understand acquisition criteria and unique value proposition, engaging in meaningful dialogue with owners of software businesses
- Generate and report on leads, setting up qualified appointments, and moving opportunities through the M&A pipeline
- Arrange roadshows and attend relevant conferences and tradeshows to generate leads and build relationships with prospects
- Develop and execute tailored digital marketing campaigns related to the buyer persona and target vertical markets of the portfolio

Essential Criteria
- 3+ years of experience in a business development role within the software industry
- Proven track record of leveraging digital marketing campaigns to generate leads and prospect engagement
- Self-motivated, hands-on attitude with a sense of urgency towards generating a pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Strong judgment and relationship-building skills to facilitate productive meetings with business owners
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication with excellent presentation skills
- Collaborative team-oriented approach with a desire to leverage technical experts and senior management to assist in closing opportunities
- Ability to work under pressure while meeting targets and deadlines
- Willingness to travel to fully meet the needs of the role
- Fluency in spoken and written English; additional language skills considered an asset

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
