Job Title: Senior Retail Operations Manager

At Northern Icons, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Retail Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our retail stores, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Direct and control daily operations of the store, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Evaluate daily operations and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling staff and managing inventory.
  • Manage staff and assign duties, ensuring that all employees are working to their full potential.
  • Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement pricing and credit policies.
  • Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring that all products meet our high standards.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
  • Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, ensuring that the store is operating within budget.
  • Determine staffing requirements and recruit new staff as needed.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
  • Oversee payroll administration and conduct performance reviews.
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.


Requirements:


  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Point of sale system experience.
  • Electronic scheduler experience.
  • Word processing software experience.
  • Inventory control software experience.
  • Electronic mail experience.
  • Spreadsheet experience.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader experience.
  • MS Outlook experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
