About the Role

Cascades is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Etobicoke. As a key member of our Recovery + division, you will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety management systems, ensuring compliance with OHS standards and regulations, and promoting a culture of safety and wellness within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health and safety management systems, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with OHS standards, laws, and regulations
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and wellness
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols

Requirements

  • Knowledge of OHS laws and standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations
  • Experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French and basic knowledge of English
