Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our care team at Global Health Employment. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients with a focus on assessment, health education, disease prevention, and early intervention and support for chronic health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to residents
  • Assess wounds and determine a course of treatment within the RN scope of practice
  • Supervise LPNs and CCAs
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and maintain plans of care
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or according to established policies and protocols
  • Monitor, assess, address, document, and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions
  • Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
  • May supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
  • May develop and implement discharge planning process on admission of patients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), preferably in the community home setting
