About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team at OpenRoad Auto Group. As a Licensed Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and maintaining the quality of our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and perform repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Advise the Service Advisor of any additional work needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeframe.
  • Inform the dispatcher of job status and ensure timely completion.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
  • Participate in factory-sponsored training classes and stay up-to-date on technical bulletins.
  • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and the shop area is maintained in a safe and organized manner.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and company safety policies.
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician certification.
  • 2-3 years of experience in automotive mechanical operations.
  • A valid Canadian driver's license and ability to provide a driver's abstract for review.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and succeed.
  • Team-oriented, hardworking, and positive attitude.
  • Previous German vehicle experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work additional time when required.
  • Journeyman qualification is an asset.
