Our Team is Looking for a Technical Leader

About the Job:

Societe Generale is a global banking leader that delivers innovative solutions to its clients. As a Global Banking Technology Expert, you will be part of our team that works side by side with business units and their clients to meet evolving needs and anticipate technological advances.

Technical Stack:

The technical stack we use includes JAVA, Angular, Spring, React, PostgreSQL, SQL, Oracle, Tomcat, RabbitMQ, PowerBI, and RestAPI.

Your Day-to-Day:

You will work on a global project that impacts financial institutions and large corporations worldwide. This role requires a strong grasp of the entire software development cycle and a deep understanding of the business context in which the software operates.

  • Feature Development: Create new features, make design and architectural decisions, test, track quality metrics, and produce documentation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present developed features to stakeholders and product owners, gain a solid understanding of business requirements, and gather feedback.
  • Software Delivery & Support: Ensure that software solutions meet internal standards and provide operational support as needed.
  • Occasionally perform Level 3 support during overnight shifts or on-duty.
  • Proven track record of managing long-term projects and serving as the main point of contact for multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile practices and methodologies.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools such as Selenium or Jenkins.
  • Understanding of software security practices (OAuth2, SSL/TLS, IAM).
  • University degree in Computer Science, DEC, or equivalent technical certifications.

Languages: French and English

The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
