Job Summary

Charles Locke is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our agricultural facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring the efficient production of livestock and crops, and maintaining the overall health and safety of the farm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the calving process and ensure the health and well-being of livestock
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of farm machinery and equipment
  • Purchase and manage supplies, including seed, feed, and livestock
  • Determine crop and livestock production levels and implement soil fertility programs
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and volunteers
  • Maintain accurate financial and production records
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in farm management or a related field
  • College/CEGEP education in agriculture or a related field
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on efficiency and productivity. The farm is located in a rural area and requires the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
