About the Role

Mittson Carrier is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions using computer equipment and GPS systems.
  • Drive safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and safety of cargo.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections on vehicles, identifying any issues or defects.
  • Operate and maintain vehicle equipment, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and other teams, receiving and relaying information in a timely manner.
  • Record vital information, including cargo details, hours worked, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement are required for this position.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A) is also necessary.
  • Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Prior experience in the transportation industry is an asset.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
