About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned cybersecurity expert with hands-on experience in cloud security, web application security, incident response, threat hunting, and cyber security operations. As a key resource, you'll help orient new team members and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless risk mitigation.

  • You will analyze infrastructure and application security findings and vulnerabilities, working closely with DevOps, Engineering, and Security teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Analyze incidents and events for trends, patterns, or actionable information, facilitating review meetings as necessary.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security frameworks, tools, and technologies to bring Jotform's security posture to the next level.

In this role, you will wear different hats depending on the situation - builder/teacher/mentor, and incident responder. You will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as a key resource in building our security competency in our new Vancouver office, helping to orient new team members with our established global security organization.
  • Coordinating cyber, infrastructure, and application teams to enable and expedite root cause analysis (RCA) and risk mitigation.
  • Performing forensics investigation based on logs and other data, validating containment and remediation measures, and performing RCA as necessary.
  • Providing security support for a web-based SaaS product operating on distributed cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS).

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, InfoSec, Security Engineering, Network Engineering, with experience in at least 2 of the following areas: cloud security, web application security, incident response, threat hunting, and cyber security operations.
  • Hands-on technical skills in Linux and at least one scripting language such as Python or Bash.
  • Excellent command of English and strong problem-solving skills, ability to coordinate with different local and global teams.
