We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Philanthropy Strategist to join our team at the AFP Golden Horseshoe Chapter. This dynamic role will play a critical part in advancing our mission to build strong philanthropic relationships between donors and nonprofit organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement community-focused fundraising strategies to increase revenue growth and donor engagement
  • Lead the development and execution of signature events, corporate sponsorships, and mid-level giving initiatives
  • Mentor, coach, and foster innovation within high-performing teams to drive philanthropic success
  • Establish and maintain trusting relationships with donors through excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Evaluate and guide planning for increased revenue generation activities using data analytics
  • Represent the organization through public speaking engagements and community outreach

Requirements:

  • Fundraising experience across multiple revenue streams, including events, corporate sponsorships, and mid-level giving strategies
  • Experience leading community-based fundraising activities and partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, coach, and foster innovation within high-performing teams
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and history of building trusting relationships with donors
  • Experience working with data analytics to evaluate and guide planning for increased revenue generation activities
  • Public speaking skills and enthusiasm for representing the organization in the community
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to diverse cultures and a commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equality, and accessibility
  • Organized, attentive to detail, and effective time management skills
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge is considered an asset
  • Passion for healthcare philanthropy and community-based fundraising
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
  • University degree or college diploma in fundraising or related field or equivalent combination of skills and experience
