About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Major Community Projects Coordinator to join our team at LEAD DISABILITY INCLUSIVE SOCIETY BC. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing community projects that promote disability inclusion and social impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and Improve Community Programs

Assess the effectiveness of our community programs and services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance their impact.

Develop and Implement Community Projects

Design and implement community projects that promote disability inclusion, social impact, and community engagement, working closely with stakeholders and community members.

Lead Community Outreach and Engagement

Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, and individuals, promoting our mission and values, and building a strong network of supporters.

Manage Budgets and Resources

Oversee budgets and resources for community projects, ensuring effective use of funds and maximizing impact.

Supervise and Mentor Team Members

Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, disability studies, or community development, and at least 5 years of experience in a related field.

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and community members. Strong project management and budgeting skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Personal Qualities

A strong commitment to disability inclusion and social impact, with a passion for promoting community engagement and development. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
