Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to join their team for a 3-month contract in Toronto.

**Job Summary:**

This role requires a seasoned financial professional with expertise in IFRS reporting, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication abilities. As a Senior Financial Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with monthly consolidations, preparing and posting journal entries, and updating working papers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, eliminate intercompany balances, and record interest income and interest receivable.
  • Update working papers and ensure the accuracy of consolidated balances.
  • Perform ad-hoc work as required, including HST and treasury-related tasks.

**Requirements:**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • IFRS external reporting experience (month-end and year-end)
  • Strong Excel skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • A CPA or MBA designation is an asset
