About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives in the Mid-West region. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to drive revenue growth, expand our customer base, and contribute to the company's success.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing business development strategies to achieve revenue targets;
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with Engineered Systems Distributors (ESDs) and other key stakeholders;
  • Identifying new business opportunities through sales events, trade shows, referrals, industry contacts, and warm/cold face-to-face sales calls;
  • Collaborating with the US Sales Director to align on sales strategies and execute plans to convert potential customers;
  • Providing value engineering on RFQs and offering quotations to ESDs;
  • Driving market intelligence gathering, uncovering opportunities in growth verticals, and delivering sales wins in these areas;
  • Assisting in implementing training in technology, products, sales skills, project registration, and other efforts;
  • Participating in industry events, including trade shows and association programs;
  • Visiting with the A&E community to promote visibility, awareness, and recognition of Mircom products;
Requirements and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of sales management experience, preferably in the Fire/Security or similar industry;
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as self-motivation and organizational abilities;
  • Proficiency in PC-based applications, including Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft AX CRM software would be an asset;
  • A current valid driver's license; and
  • Social media savvy and technically proficient to review/discuss project plans.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including group insurance and a company 401K program.
