Job Title: Wind Turbine Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team at Siemens Gamesa. As a Wind Turbine Technician, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of our wind turbines at our Alberta Wind Turbine site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct inspections and testing to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Develop and implement new procedures and best practices to improve efficiency and safety.
  • Travel to customer sites within and outside Canada to provide technical support.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge in electrical systems, including PLC programming and converters.
  • College Diploma or equivalent competency in a field related to wind farm technology.
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with wind turbines and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
