  • Job SummaryAmaya Express is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Key Responsibilities
    • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, while maintaining accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime.
    • Prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments, and insurance and pension plans.
    • Store, update, and retrieve financial data, performing data entry as needed.
    • Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining filing systems and performing human resources-related duties.
    • Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
    • Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans.
  • Requirements
    • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
    • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
    • Computer and technology knowledge: Quick Books, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Windows.
  • Work Environment
    • Work setting: Manufacture.
    • Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available.
    • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, tight deadlines, large workload.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, organized, reliable, team player.
