Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Automation Specialist to join our Corporate Treasury QA Retail team at RBC. This role will be responsible for creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirement documents and business User Stories.

About the Team

The Corporate Treasury QA Retail team is responsible for managing liquidity risks, interest risk management, and fund transfer pricing at RBC. We thrive on delivering high-performing applications and believe in celebrating successes and sharing learnings with other teams to promote progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create automated test suites using test automation tools and execute test cases (manual/automated) document test results, and raise defects when necessary.
  • Work with JIRA, Confluence, qTest for test case management, defect management, test reporting, and other functions.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies like Sprint planning, grooming sessions, stand-up meetings, demo sessions, and retrospective meetings.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation frameworks/tools e.g., Robot Framework, Selenium, REST API, Postman, and development in Python language (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark).
  • Databases technologies MS SQL, Teradata, Sybase, Vertica, Hadoop, and 5+ years in-depth knowledge of T-SQL. Experience working with ETL applications; Experience in QRM, MS HPC, and API testing.
  • Computer Engineering, Computer Science degree/diploma or equivalent experience having minimum 5+ years of experience in a QA/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (Cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases).
  • Good knowledge of QE Processes, Testing Life Cycle, SDLC, and Defect Management processes for application testing, development, and support with hands-on experience in creating test cases, executing manual/automated test cases.
