Warehouse Manager Opportunity at WEG Electric Corp

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Manager to lead our team at our Mississauga facility. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our warehouse inventory, worth $5 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage a team of supervisors and employees to achieve productivity targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager to develop operating plans and budgets for warehouse and transportation operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to optimize departmental performance.
  • Conduct regular analysis of departmental functions and communicate results to the Senior Manager.
  • Manage the performance of hourly associates, providing coaching, counseling, and corrective action as needed.
  • Make decisions and take actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience to achieve planned results.
  • Manage shipping and receiving operations, including TL and LTL, inbound and outbound international shipments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline preferred.
  • MS Office skills, Oracle, Power BI, or any Business Intelligence Software.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a warehousing or distribution management environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing distribution facilities, developing and implementing standard operating processes and procedures.
  • Solid experience in order picking, shipping, receiving, outbound product loading, and unloading.
  • Previous experience working with products on racking, bulk storage, and cycle counting.
  • Strong knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices.
