Job Title: Senior IT Audit Consultant

BMO is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Audit Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Technology and Operations group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective governance of our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive governance framework that defines the ways and methods governance is implemented, managed, monitored, and strengthened in technology.
  • Provide strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor, making recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies, influencing and negotiating to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making, leading or assisting in the execution of oversight/governance activities.
  • Develop the business case by identifying needs, analyzing potential options, and assessing expected return on investment.
  • Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements, and develops a roadmap for strategic execution.
  • Leads and integrates the execution of oversight/governance activities, serving as the primary contact across multiple jurisdictions and/or businesses.
  • Makes risk management recommendations to senior leaders based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues, acting as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Represents the governance structure during internal/external regulatory audits and/or examinations.
  • Measures the strength and effectiveness of the governance system and framework.
  • Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of business and related risk management requirements and legislative/regulatory directives and guidance.
  • Supports the management of governance meetings, facilitating development and approval of agendas, gathering and distribution of documentation, and creation of meeting minutes/output.
  • Assists in the identification, classification, and addressing of issues.
  • Assists with the coordination and management of the review and sign-off of relevant regulatory reporting.
  • Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level, serving as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
Qualifications:
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge.
  • Verbal and written communication skills - In-depth/Expert.

BMO offers a competitive salary range of $92,400.00 - $171,600.00, a salaried pay type, and a comprehensive total compensation package that includes performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards.
