Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Hundseth Power Line Construction (HPL) is a leading contractor in the overhead and underground utilities industry, recognized for our commitment to safety, quality, and innovation.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Regina. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical and technical direction and service to our fleet of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems with heavy equipment and machinery
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
  • Repair or replace worn parts and systems
  • Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems
  • Identify mechanical and electrical problems using manual and computerized diagnostic equipment
  • Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately
Requirements:
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver abstract (class 1A preferred)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a postsecondary program in heavy equipment mechanical repair
  • Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical strength and stamina, and the ability to lift over 50 pounds
