We are seeking a seasoned data governance professional with investments domain experience to join our Capital Markets Finance team as a Director. This role will be responsible for managing and leading the Capital Markets' Data Governance Program implementation and roadmap for a critical data transformation program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the roll-out of a Capital Markets data governance framework, focusing on improvements in Capital Markets investment and holdings data throughout the trade lifecycle.
  2. Establish data governance foundations for program daybreak, working with the platform team on business requirements to support data needs.
  3. Implement organizational policies and standards within Capital Markets, designing and implementing principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools, and data architecture to support data management.
  4. Define data domains to support the capture and management of Capital Markets data and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data domains are reflective of their business.
  5. Develop consistent business processes to manage mastered and golden data sets for capital markets and finance.
  6. Work with data platform teams to ensure data requirements are provided to support data quality and Master Data Management (MDM) requirements.
  7. Collaborate with the Data Governance Committee members to define roles of data owners, stewards, and custodians; work with the business to explain these roles; identify and document data assets in scope of the program.
  8. Contribute to assessing and maturing strategic data governance priorities.
  9. Establish a data-driven culture to support data governance within Capital Markets.

Requirements:

  1. At least 9 years of relevant work experience with data governance strategy and program delivery within Capital Markets.
  2. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, and Information Management.
  3. Working experience in Capital Markets and good knowledge of the different investment and asset classes.
  4. Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a team.
  5. Demonstrated consulting and leadership skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  6. Built and led high-performing teams to drive results for the business to implement core components of a data strategy.
  7. Knowledge of leading a data team and working with technology delivery teams.
  8. Working in agile and SDLC delivery methodologies.
  9. Experience establishing data governance policies, standards, and guidelines.
  10. Some technical knowledge of data governance and data management is needed.
  11. Certifications in Investments or Finance are a nice to have.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working and communicating with executives – VP+.
  2. Strategy development, strategic thinking, strategic roadmap, and planning.
  3. Knowledge of data architecture and technology solutions.
