Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting various human resources functions, including recruitment, conducting orientation, attendance management, and maintaining records and information.

Responsibilities
  • Initiate the recruitment process by drafting job postings, sorting resumes, reviewing applicants, and developing short lists.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, including scheduling interviews, reference checks, and processing offers to selected finalists.
  • Provide day-to-day support to employees, facilitating communication, and administering attendance management to ensure compliance with company policies.
Employee Relations and Administration
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain employee files in compliance with relevant best practices and update organizational charts as required.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of working hours to the payroll department for employees taking statutory or approved leaves of absence.
Health and Safety
  • Support disability claims and participate in annual Health & Safety Week activities.
  • Maintain awareness of health and safety legislation, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma in Human Resources Administration or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of human resources, administrative support, or related experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong verbal and written English language abilities.
  • Intermediate experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

This role requires a salary range of $50,000-$65,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The estimated salary may vary based on location and other factors.
