Job Description

The Technical Solutions Expert at Zendesk is responsible for all technical, solution, and competitive aspects of the sales cycle. As a key member of the sales team, you will be both sales focused and technically savvy. You will be successful in selling to Enterprise and Mid Market executives, and convincing C-level and director level executives of the technical merits of the software solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Zendesk software solutions and their applications in various industries.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Sales Representatives and customers to drive customer happiness and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver technical content, training, and support materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies and solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, technical account management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in selling complex software solutions to Enterprise and Mid Market customers.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of software applications, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Previous experience in a similar role at a software company.

Compensation and Benefits

The US annualized OTE (On Target Earnings) range for this position is $108,000.00-$162,000.00 with a pay mix of 80/20 (base/commission). This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job-related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions-based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
