Job Summary

Coast Mental Health is seeking a skilled Community Mental Health Worker to join our team. As a key member of our support and advocacy services, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of participants in our programs, utilizing the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement social, recreational, and volunteer programs to support participants
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services as needed
  • Collaborate with community resources to provide housing and support services
  • Facilitate groups and provide individual support to participants
  • Work effectively with individuals who are marginalized, underserved, and at risk of homelessness or homelessness
Requirements
  • Diploma in Community Social Service or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Recent, related experience of two years
  • Class 5 - BCDL
  • Ability to provide or obtain required certifications and clearances
