About the Role

We're seeking an experienced professional to lead our infection control program at one of our long-term care facilities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in infection prevention and control principles, as well as experience working in healthcare settings.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train staff, residents, and care providers on IPAC standards and practices. They will also be responsible for performing regular audits, leading investigations into breaches, and representing the facility as the point of contact with local public health units and corporate consultants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and evaluation of the infection control program, consulting with regional IPAC consultants as needed
  • Ensure compliance with provincial standards, best practices, and Extendicare policies and procedures
  • Supervise and train staff on IPAC standards and practices
  • Perform regular audits and investigate breaches
  • Represent the facility in interactions with local public health units and corporate consultants
What We Offer
