About the Role:

At Henry's Restaurant and Wine Bar, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our dynamic kitchen team.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing menus, ensuring that dishes are of the highest quality and presented to the required standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their roles to the best of their ability.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new recipes and menu ideas, ensuring that they are innovative and appealing to our customers.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring that the kitchen is a safe and healthy environment for all staff and customers.
  • Assist with the ordering and management of kitchen supplies and equipment, ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked and equipped to meet the demands of our menu.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food safety, and staff management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food allergens and intolerances, with the ability to provide guidance and support to customers with dietary requirements.
