We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Eco Kids-Child Care Centre. As an ideal candidate, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with a salary of approximately $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, multitasking, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.

  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
