At Meglab, we're seeking a highly skilled Power Electrical Design Engineer to join our R&D team in Val-d'Or.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Power Electrical Design Engineer who will be responsible for supervising, creating, designing and testing unique equipment and industrial networks. This individual will also ensure the integration of innovative projects and estimate their implementation.

  • Prepare detailed plans and specifications for new projects;
  • Monitor and verify installation, modification and testing of equipment and systems;
  • Analyze causes of hardware and system failures;
  • Develop operational maintenance standards;
  • Design and develop new products and technologies;
  • Test and refine equipment and systems;
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements;
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions;
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge;
  • Provide guidance and support to team members as needed.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • 3-5 years of experience in power electrical design and engineering;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in plan preparation, project monitoring and manufacturing oversight;
  • Ability to travel occasionally (as required).
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits including:
