HPGR Service Engineer

Job Summary:
The Service Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the general health of the HPGR machines in Canada. This role requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues with HPGR equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HPGR equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for clients with HPGR equipment, including resolving electrical and mechanical issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve problems with HPGR equipment, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Work with the Canadian service manager and field service coordinator to plan and execute HPGR shutdowns, and ensure that equipment is performing at an optimal level.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety and adhere to Weir's zero-harm behaviors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (EIT).
- 2-3 years of relevant technical experience in the mining field, with a focus on crushers.
- Experience with PLC programming and ATWM training is an asset.
- Passport required for international training.
- Millwrights with a Red Seal and electrical, mining, or crushing experience may also be considered.
