The opportunityOur Enterprise US Tax practice assists owner-managed companies and individuals with a wide range of US and Canadian cross-border tax compliance and planning needs.

We're looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who believes relationships in both business and community have been central to their success to join our growing practice and continue to build their personal brand as a trusted business advisor in our community.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Participate in a broad range of complex and challenging US tax work, requiring significant analysis, assessment, and quantification.
  1. Lead the preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, as well as Canadian individual and cross-border tax filings for a wide range of clients.
  1. Prepare or review US corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns for clients.
  1. Research and analyze a wide variety of US and cross-border tax issues.
  1. Maintain and manage client files to ensure accurate and timely completion of returns.
Requirements

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience in a public accounting firm.
  1. In the process of obtaining a US CPA designation, Enrolled Agent, or US Master's in Tax.
  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  1. Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
  1. Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation.
  1. Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  1. Keen to assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for various clients.
  1. Willing to take on and learn new skills by researching a wide variety of tax issues.
  1. Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses and maintain strong client relationships.
KPMG Canada Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $66,000 to $99,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
