The estimated salary range for this position is between $45,000 and $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Merchandise Procurement Specialist to support our buying team in procuring merchandise for resale. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a keen eye for market trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels by ordering merchandise in a timely manner and managing inventory effectively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase based on demand and market analysis.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale that meets quality and price standards.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
