We have a team of 700+ staff members who provide health and lifestyle management services on-site and by video consult for individuals, families, and organizations. Our downtown Toronto clinic is conveniently located at 150 York St., near St. Andrew station or a 10-minute walk from Union Station.
The Role
As a Dedicated Care Physician, Rostered Family Practice, you will take on a relatively small practice, allowing you to focus on exceptional patient care while enjoying market-leading compensation and incentives. You will dedicate your time to a limited number of patients, building strong relationships and understanding their interconnected health and wellness needs.
You will work with our dedicated team to uncover insights from same-day testing, providing clinical recommendations and health guidance. You will craft well-rounded diagnoses and treatment plans, utilizing our extensive referral partners. Our team will handle the referral process, allowing you to focus on patient care.
What We Offer
A competitive estimated salary of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and incentives. We also offer interactive webinars hosted by our experts focused on Eat, Move, Think.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must be a service-minded physician with a strong approach to providing excellent comprehensive care. You should be empathetic and collaborative, working effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You must commit to working at Medcan for a minimum of two days per week and one consistent Saturday per month. You will begin taking on patients at a manageable pace after three months of onboarding and orientation.
Qualifications
You must have current registration in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and an active OHIP billing number. CCFP designation, CCFP (EM) designation, or FRCPC designation are required. Experience in preventive care and wellness is an asset.
